His Story
Sam Simon was diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer's in 2021. Rather than stepping back, he stepped forward — channeling his experience into powerful advocacy through theater and storytelling. As "Dementia Man," Sam has written and performed his autobiographical one-man play nearly 170 times, using his own journey to reshape the narrative around cognitive decline and inspire audiences to imagine a more dignified future for those living with neurocognitive disease.
