Robin McIntyre, Advocate, Patient

Her Story

Robin McIntyre has been immersed in the Alzheimer's world for over two decades — first as a staff member of the Alzheimer's Association, and now as one of its most recognizable volunteer advocates. Robin carries a rare genetic mutation that causes Early-Onset Familial Alzheimer's Disease (EOFAD), and since 2015 she has participated in research through DIAN (Dominantly Inherited Alzheimer Network), contributing to the scientific effort to understand and one day prevent the disease. She has also taken her advocacy to the national stage through the Alzheimer's Impact Movement (AIM), fighting for policy change at the highest levels. Robin's story has been told across roughly a dozen media interviews — a testament to how far her voice carries and how many people it reaches.
