Leah Fisher worked for thirty-five years as a psychotherapist, couples counselor and corporate consultant. During that time, she brought her expertise to television programs including The Oprah Winfrey Show, and media outlets, including Newsweek and The Wall Street Journal’s “Work and Family” column.

Leah is also a writer, amateur photographer and enthusiastic traveler. She is the author of My Marriage Sabbatical, A Memoir of Solo Travel and Lasting Love. In her book, she describes a year of traveling alone in her sixties and its positive impact on her husband, herself and on their marriage.

In 2023, she received a Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) diagnosis. Follow up scans suggest this is likely due to Alzheimer's disease. In media interviews and podcasts, Leah uses her background as a therapist to offer insights on how couples can cope with a diagnosis, face transitions, and address each other’s needs along their shared journey.

To spread awareness of MCI, she has co-written a poignant and humorous song, “If I Don’t Forget,” with Laura Fannon. It can be found on Yahoo.com

Fisher is a self-proclaimed “wild and crazy grandma” to four young grandchildren. She and her husband live near Berkeley, California,
