After decades of stalled progress, we are finally seeing movement in the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s. There have been breakthroughs in the development of disease-modifying therapies that target the biological changes of Alzheimer’s disease. We have also made significant progress in understanding how Alzheimer’s affects the brain, which will help us understand the experience of living with Alzheimer’s.
Our advocacy priority is to ensure that current and new diagnostic tools and treatments for Alzheimer’s, once approved by the FDA, are accessible through Medicare to people across the country.
Telling your Alzheimer’s story may make all the difference.
